The Stone House offers heritage bed and breakfast accommodation in Perth, south of Launceston, Tasmania.

Four bedrooms allow accommodation for up to four couples to enjoy luxurious amenities. The self-contained home has full facilities including an open pantry and continental breakfast menu.

Stone House is reminiscent of Old England with beautiful Georgian architecture. French windows and a stunning fanlight entrance overlook the South Esk River and manicured gardens. A delightful fishpond can be enjoyed from the antique daybeds hidden in the greenery of the garden.

The house was built by convicts, in 1825, for Reverend John Youl, the first Tasmanian clergyman to serve the northern Tasmanian community, so history abounds in this stately old home.

Enjoy the delights of Tasmanian wines and fine produce in front of your open fire or use the barbecue to cook your catch of the day. Fishing, golfing and wine tasting are within easy driving distances. Onsite caretakers are available if you need them, but more than likely you won’t know they are there.
