Set in the beautiful heritage village of Ross in the centre of Tasmania which was settled in 1812 and is one of Australia's most original convict built stone villages. Nestled on the banks of the MacquarieRiver it showcases the third oldest bridge in Australia built by convict stonemasons. Many of the original sandstone buildings in the village have been proudly restored and preserved for future generations.
T Spot, located at 13-17 Bridge Street (around the corner from the pub) is one such restoration. A place to relax and imbibe in the unique atmosphere of old world charm and tranquility. The shop adjoins the sandstone cottage "Haynook" circa 1836 and was added in 1890 as the local butcher shop. Set on 4 acres its many outbuildings are remnants of that time. Dine inside (cosy by the fire in Winter) or outside in the beautiful courtyard. Say hello to the miniature horses and ever increasing additions to the farmyard.
The lunch menu is simple but tasty, changing with the seasons. Using homegrown produce as available, including fresh farm eggs. Breakfast Sundays only. Treats are all homemade making for extra special devonshires. Yes, you can choose from 50 teas to go with your scones! Barry always recommends Yorkshire Gold but being from Yorkshire he may be biased. Lots of yummy cold drinks too, try Iced Chai or pure Iced Tea for a refreshing drink. Gluten free choices also available.
For your own tea ceremonies select from our range of teapots, tea sets and accessories and of course take some tea home with you. Mail order service of the teas is available.
