Submit StoryRoss is an absolute MUST to visit when you're in the Heritage Highway region. It has such charm and ambiance, tempting specialty shops and fine eateries. And to top it all off: you can play the Skulduggery game "The Arch Villians". (the Skulduggery games challenge you to solve real crimes committed along the Heritage Highway more than 175 years ago). To play this game is the reason why my friend Liz and I travelled with my trusty canine Cassie to Ross for a weekend. Over a glass or two of fine Tassie wine we studied the Skulduggery game on Saturday afternoon, in preparation for collecting the clues and solving the mystery on Sunday. An excellent meal topped off by great accommodation had us refreshed and ready to go early Sunday morning.
I can't find the words to describe how much fun we had playing the game: even Cassie enjoyed playing as it involved strolling to locations around the town and lazily picnicking as we pored over the clues (and you can guess who scored a fair portion of the meats and cheese!) The quality of the clues, the intriguing nature of the crime we solved - it way exceeded our expectations. Go on, spoil yourself! - head to the Heritage Highway region and play a Skulduggery game or two, and enjoy the captivating heritage of 'the Historic Heart of Tasmania."
